What is the age limit for traveling by plane?

i have a friend that wants to see his native birth place ....UK... before he dies , can anyone tell me what the age limit is and do you have to be in good health , my friend sufferes from early dimentia and needs assistance in getting around , he is 75yrs old

There is no age limit; but it would be best if your friend had a travelling companion, considering his health status. It is not right to place the burden on airline employees to help him ... especially when they may not know how to (dementia affects people differently).

Not only that, who is going to help him when he gets to the UK?

It would be best for your friend to make a visit to his doctor to make sure he is fit for air travel ... get a letter stating so, just in case the airline has any concerns.

There is no age limit, but I hope he won't be traveling alone, considering his condition.

No age limit.... they will help at the gate with people that are sick..... as long as the Doctor says he is fit to travel...

any age if the person can wing walk

theres no age limit. if hes sick he should get a doctors permission to fly. and like everyone else said he should have someone fly with him to help. most airlines have a meet and assist program you pay for (kinda like the unaccompanied minor only for adults) and they will assist him in finding his gates and getting him where he needs to go but they are not health care proffessions or nurses and can not give meds or assist medically.

I served Edward Teller. Believe me, there is no age limit and no health requirements. He dropped yogurt all over me, even though I told him I'd return to collect it...

I once had an unconscious passenger. She was in First Class with both a doctor and nurse. Yes, it was a big deal and we were briefed on the situation ahead of time. I also had a couple of passengers in the latter stages of AIDS and cancer.

As long as the passenger's needs are met and he or she poses no threat to others on board, they can fly. Getting the help he needs might cost extra though.

  • Why do Airline Passengers have to have a lifejacket when the flight is entirely over land?

Because life jackets are cheaper than parachutes. And like 60% of all households in the United States have swimming pools, so if you fall off the plane you wont drown in a swimming pool.

you probably have a cold or a case of runny nose. Flying with liquid in your ears would cause tinitis temporary. It should clear up soon.
