Airline question?

How come in the summer, the roundtrip nonstop flight from TX to NJ was 300 dollars but right now, why is it 780 dollars?

for every $1 increase in the price of a barrel of oil, it adds about $45 MILLION annually to the cost of doing business (at the airline I work for). Do some research, and find out what the cost of a barrel of oil was last summer, and how much it is now (FYI...it just topped at over $100. a barrel...a record high). Now go do the math, and you'll have your answer.

Airline prices change constantly. The price of fuel going up so high isn't helping the cost of airline tickets. It also depends on when you are looking at going? If the dates you are looking at are less than 2 weeks, that also makes the price go up a lot.

Fuel darlin, u know how much is costs to fill up the tank of a boeing 747 or 737? 1000's!!!
