Have you ever been on a flight that had a crash, near-miss, or other incident?

One time I was on a plane that was involved in a near-miss incident.

And I know someone who survived a plane crash that killed a number of passengers.

The person I know who survived a plane crash was on this flight:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Atlantic_So...

She suffered very bad burns that have left her somewhat disfigured, but she's alive. Since the crash, she has given birth to three kids.

Well, I was on a plane once that landed on a short strip and one of the brakes failed. It was pretty exciting.

But I managed to get it down in one piece.

You know what they say...

Any landing you can walk away from is a good one.

In the U.S., thanks to the disgusting trial lawyers, any one of those is worth $$$....

planes scare me. :(

I've only experienced horrendous turbulence, but never anything life-threatening.
I did know a guy from High School who was later killed in a plane crash. It was a turbo-prop commercial plane with like 30 people on board.
He wasn't a friend of mine, but he lived a block away, and i knew him very well.

I never had any problems, and I fly a lot.

I sometimes take those huge planes that are 10 seats and 2 aisles across, that are used to flights across the Atlantic. I never had any problems.

For a while I lived in an isolated Eskimo village that can only be reached by airplane. I took those tiny little plane that holds a maximum of 8 passengers, assuming all the folding seats are clicked into place. I never had any problems.

I've also taken every size inbetween without any problems.
