Has anyone ever snuck alcohol onto a plane? |
how did you sneak it? are there like sensors for the checked baggage that would detect it? I'm 20..so underage. i don't want to drink it on the plane, i just have this kind that is hard to find that i want to bring on vacation with me pour some vodka into a water botlle and away with ya! seriously it works, nobody will be any the wiser - nothing will be said NO As long as it is in your suitcase, you should be fine. HOwever, wrap it VERY well or it may break. Don't carry it on. Sneaky heck no!! 1. This was before 9/11 and the liquid explosive age so it might not apply now, but my friend just put it in a backpack. just get someone to buy you some duty-free on the plane ;) Back in the day, you didn't HAVE to sneak it on... nope nope never You can't carry any liquids except for a few toiletries so if they heard any splashing in your bag they might open it and confiscate it, then you might get in trouble for being underage. u probably cant cuz they search the bags for liquids and u better not cuz if u get cut men u wil b in lots of trouble they might not detect it if u put it under lots of luggage thts what my family does ooo you rebel!!! You used to be able to but now you can't bring anything on over 3 oz. Plus being underage you are risking your flight all together. They can actually refuse your ticket. If you are anxious, just take a sleeping pill instead. i did it, however youre taking a bigger risk since that incident having liquids/bombs. I was going to be like "why not just order it" and then you said you were under 21.....no, I never tried and I don't know if I would if I were you. They check BABY BOTTLES now.....you know those explosive Enfamil formulas!! LOL i just put it in a bottle from vitemin water scince they come on differnt colors anyways .. wont know the differnce =) i doubt they card you- but not sure. anyways, you can take alcohol on board in your belongings No there are no sensors that would detect it but sometimes they do random searches so they might find it. Also they might see the bottle when you put it through the xray thing. So I wouldn't take it, just to be safe. OMG, we do it all the time (before they said we couldn't bring liquids) we use to buy what they call the "airplane" bottles of alcohol and we had no problem, we put them in our backpack or in my purse, we wrapped them up in a towel. How about snuck a gallon of booze back to Vietnam from R&R in Thailand in 1965***? It was an airplane -- a DC3. I put the four bottles in a carton full of dirty underwear, wrapped in in colorful wrapping paper, and wrote "HAPPY BIRTHDAY MOM" on the outside. Shameful, huh? WHAT?! who told i did it?? They were lying!! No, they will catch it because of 9/11. They check everything! There was a time when it wouldn't have been a problem. You could have just put it in a water bottle. The new restrictions severely limit any liquids which may be carried on board an aircraft so I wouldn't attempt this. well they usually never ID you on the plane for alcohol. I am also 20, and every time I've ever flown I get drunk....very drunk (flying makes me nervous). As for brining alcohol on the plane its kinda difficult since bringing any liquids on a plane is hard since the liquid bombs and unless the alcohol was bought from a duty free shop its illegal. Beverages brought from home or purchased before reaching the security checkpoint must be in a 3 oz. or smaller container in your quart-size, and in a zip-top plastic bag. They do not have any sensors for alcohol but there any many random carry on bag checks. I usually always get pulled a side and deeply searched since I'm 20, young and its stereotypically what we would do (bring drugs, alcohol, etc.) so i would not suggest sneaking alcohol on, instead just get on the plane, go to the stewardess, and tell her you have a fear of flying and your in a desperate need of a drink to calm down, they will understand and as soon as the plane takes off you'll have your drink in your hand and ready to go. girl what are you thinking just leave it you don't need it.drinking is a bad habit. stop drinking. You are not allowed to bring ANY liquid more than3 1/2 ounces on the plane. You could stick the bottle in your checked luggage and it should get through easily. I bring alcohol in my checked luggage all the time. Not much, usually just a bottle of wine as a gift, but it's not illegal to have alcohol in your checked luggage. There's no way they will check your age and confiscate your alcohol or anything because you're not 21 so I wouldn't be worried about that. You can't bring alcohol on board the plane because you can't bring liquids through security. No problem. If it is in your checked lugage no big deal. If it is on a carry on, you will have an issue due to the volume. Either ship it UPS or checked luggage |
