When was Algeria colonized?

im doing a project on Algeria and i cant seem to find the year it was colonized and by who.

It was the French who invaded Algeria in 1830.

Algeria was colonized by France in July 1830 during this period Algeria was under the Rule of DEY is a title for the Governor of Algeria with some influence of the Ottoman Empire but after 1815 as it's known European countries were scrambling on the Ottoman weak Empire to colonize its parts and Algeria was part of the Ottoman Empire and Algeria had at that time commercial and diplomatic relation with France so as a result to a specific dispute that happened between the Dey the Governor of Algeria and the French Ambassador who was representing France in discussing some disputes an incident happened in the Palace and France considered that incident as an insult to her diplomatic relationship so she arranged her navy and sailed to the Norther cost of Algeria in June 1830 and invaded the country within a month coz the Dey powers and resistance collapsed and couldn't stand more against the powerful French army coz France was waiting for any opportunity to impose her domination o Algeria ans France had arranged and organized all her powers preparing to invaded the country by any stupid reason they meet
