What is the best way to get from Malaga airport to my Marbella hotel?

I'm going to Marbella in August.

There is a bus service from the airport, or take the train to Fuengirola and then a taxi on to Marbella. a word of warning, the taxis are quite expensive but sometimes the only option

The shuttle bus service from Malaga airport to the Marbella Bus Station runs every half hour all day. From the bus station a Taxi to your hotel would not be too expensive.

Otherwise you could take the train to Fuengirola, and get a local bus from there, but this is more complicated to do as first you have to walk from the airport to the train stop which is about a ten minute walk and you have to cross the main road (with suitcases this is not really too enjoyable), and when you arrive in Fuengirola, you have to walk from the train to the bus station (only about 5 minutes) but then you'll have to wait for the Marbella bus, which will leave you at the same station the shuttle bus goes to. At which point you will have to take a taxi to your hotel anyway.

The bus is your best bet.

As you exit the airport door turn to your right, the bus stop is a 2 minute walk. There are 2 buslines one to Marbella the other to Malaga. Just check you get on the right one.
:-)

The ride lasts from 35 to 45 minutes (depending on traffic)..
The taxi to your hotel could be about ten minutes, that depends on where in Marbella your hotel is located.
Ask the price before you get in the taxi... (afraid I can't help you about the price, I have no idea of the current cost...I travel in my own car...haven't taken a taxi in ages!)

If you have booked your trip through a travel agency, there might be a coach service from the airport to the hotels the agency works with, which would simplify everything for you...check it out with your travel agent..

If you booked through internet...you'll have to return to the 2 solutions above...

Have a nice stay in Spain..!!!

What hotel are you staying at in Marbella???
(My husband is maitre'd at one of the Marbella **** star hotels)
