Off to Competa, Costa del sol on sunday.....?

Anyone know of places to go near Competa. It is in the mountains up from nerja. My mum has a villa there and we are taking the children.... weve been told of a water park on the coast but does anyone know of any other good places to visit there...

You'll be close to the caves in麓Nerja, the nearest waterpark is the one near Velez Malaga called.Aquavelis. The beach at Torre del Mar is nice, and the beach at Torrox also.
At the crossroads near Velez Malaga you have a nice shopping center called "EL INGENIO".
Then there is the Picasso Museum in Malaga, the cathedral and center of town are also lovely to visit, and Gibralfaro castle overlooks the city with some lovely views of the coastline..

If you have time take a drive down the coast and visit Fuengirola, Marbella, Mijas Pueblo, and even Ronda which is a little further away..

Then if you want to go the other way, drive to Granada v铆a Motril on the coast. And you have the village of Frigiliana near you which is very quaint and lovely to visit...

Oh, and some of the best and most delicious Malaga wine is from C贸mpeta...get some while you are there!
