I've got a day in Cadiz whilst on a Med cruise - can I get to Seville independently?

My partner is in a wheelchair!

There is an hourly bus service between Cadiz and Seville - I think all buses there are wheelchair accessible

Seville is quite a way from Cadiz and I'd think you'd struggle to enjoy the day if you travelled by bus, but, as far as Im aware, its the only way to get there without a car.

Hi,
I went on a tour around Andalucia with a friend who is in an electric wheelchair - was quite an experience! I know I can answer your question as we were doing a feasibility study into wheelchair acess.

To be perfectly honest with you it all depends on the time on which you have available. If i remember correctly it took us anything from 45 mins to about 90 mins to go via the toll road, but there are differernt routes available, but i think the toll road is the best option. But that would mean hiring a car and so on, may not be really practial for the day.

The acess onto the trains at Seville is superb - enterance on and off trains are almost at platform hieght, depending ot train no ramps or lifting needed. But I know ramps are widley available, you may just have to ask. Cant see a problem as Seville is a big station. Ive included the link the trains - personally I think its your best bet.

Busses - dont even bother attempting. We tried a number of bus stations to try journeys to local attractions and a we were told yes its easy to get onto the bus, but was very impractical, and frustrating!!

Ive also put in a link to maps and directions around Spain. I find it useful.

Regards,
Jason

I agree that unless there's something you really want to see in Seville, you might enjoy your day more if you didn't try to travel so far. Also, Seville is quite a big place to get around once you're there, and I'm not sure how accessible the taxis are.

Cadiz is a nice place, and there are some beautiful white villages fairly close by which would be easier to get to.

Whatever you decide, have a great holiday!
