Costa de la Luz?

Has anyone been to Nuevo Portil in Costa de la Luz, South of Spain? Are the beaches good there?

msl43,
You're talking about Costa del Sol. That's a different thing...

Lovely...the Brits. have not trashed it (yet). It's heaven from C谩diz westwards - as I say...when it becomes 'sexy' i.e. full of ugly high-rise and fish & chip eateries, not forgetting pseudo-English pubs everywhere, then is the time to go elsewhere. M谩laga isn't Costa de la Luz, msI43...well, actually, M谩laga is fine, but the towns 10-50 kms westward are nasty - the good old Costa Del Sol. The further west you travel, the more sweet and aural it is.

Yes and the beaches are wonderful unspoilt long and clean

hahahaha.. boobies.. very true comment. oen thing to be aware of is that in spain, as well as many other european countries, they aren't as stuck up and "OH MY GOSH!" about certain things.. such as drinking, sex, etc. People do things that would surprise you... but it's all in the culture. when i was there, ill admit, i was a ilttle freaked out at first.. just shocked... but later you begin to actually appreciate it... and love the way they aren't so anal about stuff.. i absolutely loved spain and would love to live there someday. have fun!!!! southern spain is AWESOME! i went to malaga, and it was amazing. teh beaches were awesome, the people were so congenial, and it wasn't too hard to get around. make sure you go to 'el centro'!! try puerto banus! even though it is a place where all the rich people go, it is absolutely amazing ot see, as a day trip. the mountains of africa can be seen in the distance! and actually.. you can go to africa by only a 30 minute boat ride! enjoy!

yeah, i used 2 liv near there. da beaches arnt as gud as da costa del sol, but still, der okok
ciao florrie

I recommend the beaches in Puerto De Santa Maria, Cadiz, and Marbella. Tarrifa (sp?) has the best waves I think, and a little lighthouse. Hope this helps.

The Costa de la Luz or 'Coast of light' is at the western part of the Andaluc铆a coastline that faces out to the Atlantic.
