I cant decide when to visit southern Spain, October or April?? HELP please?

I want to visit Sevilla, Granada, Toledo, and Madrid, and i can't bring myself to decide on when it is best to do so...

I agree, if you are a very Catholic Person you would come to see Holy week in April. Its celebrated in every major city and town in Spain.. and full of A LOT of tourist....and many things are closed because Spaniards go on vacation during this time usually....

October on the other hand is perfect ( for me at least) because you will not be as Crowded with tourist as in April.. and the weather is still nice.. So I would stick to October.

Take care.

April!!

In the catholic countries we celebrate the "Semana
Santa" in April, Sevilla is fantastic in April!

Hi from Spain!

The Travel Channel website has a good short subject video by Samantha Brown's "Passport to Europe" with a focus on Barcelona and Madrid. October starts to get cooler with a higher chance of rainy days.

Yes, Easter is very big in Seville and there is a big fair two weeks after Easter. Plus flowers bloomong etc. Also, October is usually the rainiest month in Andalusia -- although they were having droughts a few years back.

ALso, if you can fit in a day in Corboda -- I highly recommend -- it is right on the route from Madrid to Seville or Granada -- The AVE high speed train gets you there in 2 hours form Madrid and then to Seville in 30 minutes.

Maybe April as it will be some what warmer. have a great time.

spring/april is beautiful & starting to get warmer. october is beginning to have cooler weather.

both are fine for avoiding the extremely hot weather....
