Looking for a wedding reception venue near Benalmadena Costa, Spain.?

I already have a place for my ceremony, I'm just looking for a nice place to have my reception. Our reception will be small, not a whole lot of people. Something reasonably priced as well. We're looking in the areas of Benalmadena, Fuengirola, and Mijas. Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

Hotels, restaurants, etc.

Any of a good number of the hotels in the area would be good for your purpose...
How many would be "not a whole lot" of people?
(Some hotels will not accept wedding receptions for less than 50, others even 100!)
Lew Hoads Club on the road to Mijas does excellent receptions ( I was there at a wedding last year and the food was superb).
La Venta de Torreblanca also does good wedding banquets.
If you want very posh go to the Hotel Byblos on the road to Co铆n...
The Beatriz Palace has some beautiful banquet rooms, but I don't know how good the food is...
For a small group the Meson del Muro in Benalm谩dena Pueblo near the church could be nice, and the views are superb.
There is also "El Higueron" up on the old road to Mijas, it's expensive but the food is good. El Meson Carretero, on the left as you drive towards Benalm谩dena Pueblo in Urb.Monte Alto has excellent food, we celebrated my brother-in-laws wedding there..
Then there is the Hotel Alay in Benalm谩dena Costa, I haven't been to a wedding there in several years, so I don't know if it still has the same quality.
The Hotel Las Piramides or Las Palmeras both in Fuengirola.

Don't try the Barbacoa Andaluza, I've two different references of bad experiences there...

Most hotels and large restaurants have sample menus for you to look at and choose from. And for a large wedding they will even invite you to try out the menus (usually for a max. of 4 persons, they serve you four different menus, so you can see and taste the different dishes...)
One thing, you had best hurry a bit... Wedding venues here in Spain are usually retained up to a year in advance! This close to your wedding date you may find that many places are already spoken for...
I wish you luck and happiness, have a marvelous wedding!

There are numerous restaurants that have 'function rooms'. really depends on what style of reception you want.
I think you might need to get booked well in advance, when & where is the wedding?
