i neeed to know if these are countries Yes, Aruba is a country, although it's affiliated with the Netherlands. Try looking at a map of the world. Maybe reading of paying attention to news would help. Aruba is a country. Aruba is a country gaining their independence from the Netherlands in 1986. Their association with the mother country is similar to what the US has with Guam. Aruba is under Dutch law but not under Dutch rule. They elect their own Parliament and Governor to office. Aruba is an island in the Caribbean which belongs to the Netherlands. You can say its partly a country because has its own flag and national anthem, but still is under the Dutch. But is still remains an island. Aruba is a country within the Kingdom of the Netherlands.
