Have you tried Soul Food? |
Has anyone ever been to Busy Bee Resturant in ATL? That place is great. I love the ribs and the red velvet cake is wonderful. Tommy I can see if you said smothered chicken or catfish....but chitlins....yuck. lol I'm pretty sure that is the same thing as good ole southern cooking..if so..then YES...I love it. I am from Memphis TN but I live in Las Vegas now and like the old saying goes "You can take the girl out of the south but you can't take the south out of the girl. On New Year's Day I have always had black eyed peas with hog jowl..well you can't find hog jowl in Vegas so I have to use salt pork. Some more favorite are ribs, turnip greens, fried okra, corn bread....OMG the list goes on and on. I've never been to busy bees in Atlanta but I do go to Atlanta occasionally so I will have to look it up next time I go. I was raised on soul food. never been to busy bee though Man, you need some good buttered chittlins' and hawg jowls with okra and collard greens......now thats soul. I love okra, but hate grits! Yes! Delicious! |
