Thanx.
well what is the best and most affordable (u know what i mean. like good food good price.)restaraunt?
Do u know any cool facts about the sky tower or auckland zoo or nikau cave or rainbow's end.

ALSO does it cost money to go to mount eden?

pleeze help me.=]
THANK YOU

Mount Eden is free. You just drive or walk or cycle up. Perhaps, take a taxi or tour bus. Mt Eden is not the only mountain you can go up for free. Try also Mt Wellington, One Tree Hill, or Rangitoto Summit (In this case, you need to get over to Rangi, which could cost you the ferry fare) amongst others.

Sky Tower is tallest building in sthn hemisphere, or so they say. There are 1,267 steps to the top and they have a race up the stairs every year. But you can ordinarily take the glass fronted elevators. At the top there is an observation deck and a 360deg revolving restaurant. There are cheaper restaurants downstairs.
Auckland Zoo is not replacing any animals that need large areas to run. Never heard of Nikau Cave. Never been to Rainbows End. The Auckland War Memorial Museum in the Auckland Domain is worth going to, not only for it's memorial displays but also the general exhibits, early Auckland miniature town, and Kiwiana exhibits. Not to mention the Domain itself is a wonderful park in the middle of the city.
Other museums of interest are MOTAT, next to the zoo, is a transport & technology museum. Also Kelly Tarlton's Aquarium and Penquin place are really cool.

Cheaper places to eat are the cafes, particularly the ethnic themed ones like Thai, Turkish, etc. The term restaurant usually refers to more expensive places.

Stay in the hostel in downtown;
nice place and cheap

Many good food (cheap) in this area

Skytower has a plexiglass portion of its floor; you can stand on it and look straight down to the ground. Also, you can bungee jump from it. People jump from the top and right past you at tower level - really wild.

Below is link to Auckland visitors site....maybe it has answers to your other questions. Never did any of them there...

Haven't spent that much time in Auckland - however I did the sky tower http://www.skycity.co.nz/skycity/index.c... very freaky standing on that see through glass.
You can also jump of the tower for something different to do. http://skyjump.co.nz

Auckland Zoo http://aucklandzoo.co.nz/index.php is awesome and so is the Kelly Tarlton's Antarctic Encounter & Underwater World - worth a visit. http://www.kellytarltons.co.nz

Rainbows End - OK 5 outta 10, http://www.rainbowsend.co.nz Gold Coast theme parks are much better though.

For resturants in Auckland go to :::: http://www.menus.co.nz/auckland

Haven't lived in Auckland for quite a while.

things to see:
War Memorial Museum
Motat
Zoo
Kelly Tarltons
America's Cup Village (on the harbour)
Waiheke Island
Harbour Cruise
Rangatoto
Bridge Climb
Sky Tower
Mount Victoria at Devonport
Haven't heard of Nikau Cave - can't help on that one.

Money to go to Mount Eden? Do you mean Eden Park, the Rugby Ground? Then yes it does. Have no idea what the seats cost each game.

Mount Eden is also a 'burb. Lived there - nice area. The Mountain itself - you should be able to walk or drive up to the crater top. Great views.

For restaurants check these 2 sites where diners have posted reviews.

Rainbows end was and has always been very disappointing. Don't waste your money. If you're after a Cedar Point type amusement park ... you'll barf at what the major amusement park in NZ has to offer.

Nice day trip in the winter is to the Hot Springs at Waiwera, about an hour north of Auckland on State Highway 1.

have fun discovering my home town :)
