The area around the Rydges Hotel, the corner of Federal and Kingston Streets, Auckland, is it hilly?

It's in a hilly part of the CBD. Just remember for every hill you walk up, there's a walk down as well. There are some hotels near or on the harbour which are also on the flat. Hilton Auckland which is built over the water, Mercure (Not on the harbour) but about 200m walk on flat. Copthorne Auckland, which is on Quay Street, at the Harbours edge.

Hope this helps.

does a bear $hit in the woods? yes the whole of Auckland City is Hilly. Queen street is the main road and it is one long hill. if your hotel is in the heart of the city, it is definately going to be on a hill. You may get lucky and it be at the bottom though!!

There are over 40 dorman volcanoes in Auckland and surrounding cities. Have a look at this site, it might help plus it has a few links http://www.aucklandnz.com/VisitorInforma...
