About to spend a week in Auckland NZ. What are the best things to see?

About to spend a week in Auckland NZ. What are the best things to see?

You will find lots of exciting things to do in Auckland.

Here are a few of my favourites:
- A trip up the Sky Tower (have dinner up there too if its in the budget).
- The Auckland Museum - just been renovated so lots to see.
- Kelly Taltons Underwater World.
- A ferry across the harbour to Devonport for the shops, to Rangitoto Island for a great day out in the sun tramping, or to Waiheke Island for Art, Crafts, Wine tasting and quiet beachs relaxing.
- Shopping in Queen Street or New Market.
- The huge weekend flea market in Otara.
- The Auckland Zoo and MOTAT (Museum of Transport & Technology) - there is an old tram which connects the two parks.
- Rainbows End (but don't expect Disneyland - its OK but not amazing).
- Dressmart in Onehunga - lots of Outlet & seconds shops for great bargains.
- A day at a wild west coast beach like Piha or Murawai.

Have a great time here :-)

rainbows end, spookers, rangitoto, skytower, skyjump(jump of the skytower), AJ Hackett bungy, tiri tiri matangi, maratime museum, piha beach, paradice ice rink (lol i did ice skating there), auckland zoo, snowplanet

thats all i can think of now!

and go to diocesan school for girls, epsom! thats my old school! lol!

All the above things. Also the guided walk over the Harbour Bridge. You can do a day trip easily south to Rotorua and see all the geyers, mud pools.

Safe and happy travels:)

At the airport grab the free booklets with suggestions. If staying in a good hotel they all have dozens of them. But I wouldn't leave without googling it!
I could paste here hundreds of websites with guides of what to do in NZ.
Try YouTube as well. Just type the city you'll visit and there will be a video with a North American giving hints.

Climb Rangititoto-awesome views!,Jump off the sky tower, maybe take a couple of days to the Bay of Islands-very beautiful part of NZ!!,With heaps to do up there.Kelly Tartltons,Devonport,.....the list is endless!!

see the bro's in mangere and get smashed over, heh heh heh.

Ignore Sebcue. The guy has no life!

There are lots of things to do in Auckland. Rainbow's end is pretty good. It is located in the city of Manakau, in Auckland's south. There's also a good shopping centre near the theme park Rainbow's End.

Visit Mission Bay, great beaches! In the city, check out the sky tower and do a bunjy jump if your game! Good shops in the CBD too.

Go to Auckland Zoo, and MOTAT. There are 2 MOTATs. One is quite boring, which is a sort of mus em. But you might like that. The other one I liked better. It had all this cool science stuff in it! My favourtie was the earthquake simulater!

Mmmm, what else. Go and have a look at the volcanos around the place. There extinct, so don't worry about them blowing up! lol.

Go for a cruise on the great harbour!

Hope you have a great holiday

Have fun
