Looking for a 4-star hotel in Auckland.?

Must be located in downtown Auckland. How can I book for a local day-trip within & out of Auckland. Please recommend, if you know of any. Thanks.

The Sebel Hotel is in Downtown Auckland and it is a lovely hotel. We have stayed in several of this chains hotels and always had a great time. I think it is a 5 star though - but worth paying a little more if you can to stay here.

The City Central Hotel is in the centre of the city, close to the shops and Queen St (our main street in the city). I have stayed here a few times in the past and found it was a good 4-star hotel. Great central city location, nice and close to everything. It is now under new management.

You can book heaps of day trips. Your hotel can book them for you or you can book on line. Try Scenic Pacific (see links below) as they are quite reputable.

I would suggest a full day tour of Auckland if you have never been here before. If you have done Auckland then Waitomo/Rotorua would be my pick for an out of Auckland day trip.
