New zealand student visa?

Hi..well..i am really worrying about whether I can extend a student visa or not. I have been absent many times (I guess about 12 times) and late many times (I guess about 8 times? maybe?).
I found the information saying that I need to get at least 80% percentage of attendance, otherwise I can't extend visa anymore. SO I AM REALLY AFRIEND OF THAT. Besides few days ago, an international counselor said my attendance was not good. So I am really really really worrying about this problem. Please.....give me answers.

If you require your student visa to be extended, a supporting letter can be obtained from Auckland International prior to the start of semester.
NB - Please bring either:
* a certified copy of your student visa from your passport or
* a copy of your student visa with your passport for the Auckland International staff to verify
