How much car fuel cost should I budget when touring New Zealand for an approximately 14-hr drive?

I'm going to New Zealand and from Auckland, I'm going for a road trip to see the Waimoto Caves then head to Rotorua. From Rotorua, my next stop is Christchurch then I will go see the Fox Glacier the next day, then off to Queenstown which is my last stop. It's a 14-hr drive in total and I'm going to rent a car. How much gas allowance should I budget for this trip?

Auckland - Waitomo Caves - 194 km about 2 h 40 min
Waitomo Caves - Rotura - 148 km about 2 h
Rotorua - Christchurch - 892 km about 14 h
Christchurch - Fox Glacier - 404 km about 5 h 30 min
Fox Glacier - Queenstown - 330 km about 4 h

so it not possible to run it in 14 hours.. mayby you have another truck.. if you really like to run from Auckland to Oueenstown with this stops, it's about 1774 kilometers, so if your car get , hm... 7 l / 100 km, you mast buy about 130 l of gas.

although you would only need about 3-4 petrol stops, I would agree with the person above me around $250..... $300 just to be safe.....
