What's the easiest way to get to Austin,Texas from Donna,Texas? What roads are the best to take for the trip?

The best shortcuts to get around Austin, Texas?

Going from the McAllen area, we take 281 all the way up to 37, around Alice. You would take 37 to the 410 split, then that'll take you to I-35.

Sounds weird if you're not familiar with the roads offhand, but that's the easiest way.

Go to mapquest and see. I know I went through San Antonio but I can't remember all the roads. We were going to Harlingen. From where I live now you just take Hwy 77 all the way.
