Austin, Texas?

I'll be moving to Austin, TX next month; and I wanted to know where's the closest beach to Austin and how long does it take to get there?

Just go to Hippie Hollow, it's at Lake Travis, on the west side of Austin.

You will LOVE IT!

i am not sure but maybe Galveston, it would take like 4 hours. or maybe Corpus Cristi like 3 hours I am not sure!!!!!!!!!!1

NO, Hippie Hollow is a lake beach and it's a nude beach for gay people. Only go if you are a homosexual.

The closest saltwater beach is probably Galveston, TX and is about 2-and-a-half hours south.

Beach? Duuuude! Texas is a friggin big place.. You are gonna be nowhere near a beach!!

Go to Lake Travis instead... just as fun and the water is cleaner!

The closest beach is either Galveston (nasty brown water) or Corpus Christi or a little further south to South Padre Island... all of these are 3 to 6 hours away from Austin!

the closest beaches are going to be along the Gulf of Mexico. There are a number of beaches like Port Aransas, South Padre Island, Galveston etc. There are a lot from Brownsville up towards Houston. They will be anywhere from 3 to 6 hours away

its gona take you about 4 hrs to galveston and thats the closest. i live in houston and galveston is about 1 hr from my house and austin 3.

Uh no....not hippy hollow.....lol It's for nudists. Corpus Christi is about 4-5 hours away. I'm not sure how far away Galveston is.

Austin Texas is the best city i have ever lived in. If your looking for beaches the city is covered with lakes. Lake Travis is probably the most fun. But if you want to go to the ocean you should go to Port A which is like 4 or 5 hours down south.

corpus cristi my final answer for you .

Cheapest would be hitch hiking, but I would not suggest you actually try it. So I would guess the bus would be next. Then a drive. Then an airplane.
