Are the classes at UT Austin and Baylor, Waco hard? |
Are the classes at UT Austin and Baylor, Waco hard? Well for a more specific answer, at UT the main problem would be that in your intro classes that your gonna have to take there will be upwards of 200 people. In that type of situation, unless you have decent self control, its easy to skip alot and not really care. The good news is even with these if you put forth some effort and look at your books at least once before the test you can usually pull a C. The later classes where there are far fewer poeple, 20 or so, should be what your actually intrested in and becuase there is less people it seems more like they are designed for you to do well. And obviously choose classes you like and ask you advisor what he/she would recommend for your intro classes to keep those as easy as possable and try to stay close to intro for non-majors in classes you didnt think were that easy in high school. Geology for non-majors is the best way to go through science at UT easily. Depends on the class. Just like any university, classes are meant to challenge the students. You will find some classes that will totally kick your butt and you'll barely get through it but others will be so simple you'll feel like you wasted your time. You will find this at any school. It depends on the person and the school. To some people, a certain class might be hard, but its not hard for others. Also, the degree of diffuculty could vary a somewhat by school because each schools have different professors. If you have to ask if the University and Baylor are difficult schools then the answer is yes. Both are very large major universities. They are both ranked very high academically. You have to have good grades and score very high on your SAT's to be accepted. I went to UT and my best friend went to Baylor. one of the the hardest things we found was making yourself go to class. lots of professors don't have attendence policies so it's really hard to fall behind. if you want to stay in the game, going to class and reading are a must. if you want to do well in the classes, not just pass, taking notes and studying are hardcore necessary. outside of that, it really depends on how hard the professor is, how much they require, and what the class is. it also depends on what school you're comparing to ut austin and baylor. if you're comparing to a community college, then yes it's harder. if you're comparing it to an ivy league school, then it's not so difficult. |
