Moving to Temple Texas?

Me and my husband are thinking about moving to Temple Texas very soon...like within the next 3 or 4 months and I am wondering what the area is like. Thanks.

I lived in Temple when stationed at nearby Ft. Hood. I loved it. It is only 45 minutes to Austin, TX ; you never run out of things to do there. It is also a short drive to Waco, TX. The nearby Lake Belton is great for fishing. There are numerous colleges nearby; I received one of my degrees from Central Texas College. Temple is a quiet town with people that have great character. It is easy to get around and there is plenty of good diversity. The climate wasn't bad for Texas. Between Ft. Hood, Waco, Austin, and the 'hill country', there will be plenty to do.

Why Temple? Temple is an okay place. It is right next to the biggest military installation in the country, Fort Hood. Therefore, there is many soldiers around.

Temple is an awsome place, ive lived there all my life and the only complaint i have is that there is not much to do entertainment wise....but you have waco, killeen, and the entire austin area within an hour dirve away.....i plan on living and raising a family in the area north of there, called troy..also a very wonderful place
