Does anyone have a clue who is going to play at the Austin City Limits music festival this year?

I just a few minutes ago received an email from ACL about the festival. The lineup will be revealed on Ground Hogs Day! So, it looks like you have to wait til Saturday. Sorry.

Unless you know someone with 'insider information' it is too early to know. However, ACL Fest has a great website with lots of information...and as soon as the band list for 2008 is ready, they post it on their website..probably late spring. I suggest you keep your eye on it. The Chronicle, in Austin also lists possible bands and a set list closer to the concert.

I have been to this festival every year and think that it is one of the best in the U.S. I can't wait until September! Good luck and hope this helps!

The knock on ACL is that they continue to bring back the same artists every year, and these same artists already come to Austin for separate shows at different venues throughout the year. Don't get me wrong - I like ACL and have enjoyed going; however, I just hate to see it getting so routine and predictable.

While the new lineup has not been set, I can assure you that Wilco, Block Party, 1 of Bob Marley's sons or grandsons, Lucinda Williams, Spoon, Blue October, Ben Kweller, Kaiser Chiefs, 1 old country guy, 1 old blues guy, and only 1 (if any) hip hop group will be there.
