Can anyone tell how stephen f. austin state university is and Nacogdoches? I am going to go there in the fall.

How is the campus life like? How is the town?

SFA is known for its beautiful campus located in the Piney Woods region of Texas. The School of Forestry (hence the Lumberjack mascot) is the highest ranked program in the country. They are also highly regarded for their departments of education, kinesiology, nursing, sociology/gerontology, and business.

Campus life is cool, as the student body is diverse. There are good intramural sports and other social groups/clubs. They recently rebuilt the student center, so I am sure there is even more cool stuff on campus now - recreation areas, restaurants/dining options, etc.

The city of Nacogdoches is also the oldest in Texas, so there is quite a bit of unique history in the area. They also have Do Dat BBQ every year which is a must to go out and see - good bbq, cold beer, good fun with friends.

very nice town about 2 1/2 hours from houston on 59 North. Good school but Sam Houston is better.
