I need some tips on what to do for our second wedding-anniversary, in August..read on?

we live near Heidelberg Germany, want to go away just for a day or so. shouldn麓t cost that much either... any suggestions?? Thank you!

There is a Park in Mannheim called "LUISEN PARK". Its a really nice Park and there is a Gondola ride, which you can take. I'm not sure how much the entrance cost, but it shouldn't be that much.
I used to live there and went to the park a lot of times. They also have a section with animals like birds, penguins, and an inside terrarium with crocodiles and snakes if this still exist.
If you like to have a "get away" try it!
There is a TV tower nearby where you could take an elevator up to a restaurant. I think you need to have reservations, if you would like to eat up there, but I'm not sure. It's also not cheap.
But it might be a nice ending for a special day.

Since you live near Heidelberg, why don't you go to Freiburg? It only takes about 2 hours to go there (I used to go from HD to FR on weekends) and it's a really neat city, similar to HD but still different.

Have fun you guys and take care!

First option:
City Boppard. www.boppard.de look at the Best Western Belleveu Hotel. Very charming, elegant with view at the river. That is in the Reihn Valley, near the Lorelei. Veeery romantic and nice during the sommer.

Second option: Moseltal (never been there i麓ve heard is nice too)

Third option: Nordsee. Neuharlingersiel (osfriesischesland) Look for Hotel Nordstern tel. 04971-92999 it costs 42 euros per night + breakfast (buffet). The place is also very nice and romantic.
