Are we too old for the Sandals Resort in the Bahamas??

My husband and I are thinking of visting the Sandals Resort in the Bahamas for our 20th anniversary. Needless to say, we are no longer in our 20s nor in the shape we were in our 20s. We don't want to go to a resort like this only to find that we are the oldest and perhaps the fattest ones there!! We have never been to an "all-inclusive" resort and certainly not an "adults only" one. We thought we might try it while the kids are away at camp. Any thoughts? Other suggestions?

your never too old for sandles
i mean look at the site!

I'd go for it and who cares what everyone else thinks. You are never to old to enjoy the view and have some fun!
Or you could ask a travel agent, maybe they would know.

Aww - congrats on the anniversry!

But really? I don't think anyone is going to care if you and your husband are not sexy, scandalous, and a young 20 yr old looking couple. Myself and everyone else is only worried about getting a great tan and having fun. Don't be foooled by those cheesy commericals! Have fun and celebrate your everlasting marraige! Best Wishes!

It shouldn't matter the age or size you are. If you want to go and have fun, do it. If I could afford it I would. And I don't look so hot in a suit. It's all about having fun.

You are never to old & don't worry so much about what others think.be glad you have been together as long as you have & still are interested in going places like this. You at least have proof (at camp)that you know what you are doing there(lol)

my husband and i went there for our honeymoon. it did seem like there were alot of couples in their 20s and 30s, but there honestly were quite a few older couples too. i liked the fact that there was a mix of ages, and no one was "on the prowl"--it wasn't like spring break in cancun! everyone kind of kept to themselves and honeymooned! if i had it to do over again, i'd shell out the extra cash and get the super deluxe concierge beachfront room with private splash pool though!

You are never too old :)

Go ! And enjoy yourself.

I'm in my forties, and my girlfriend is in her early fifties, so I'm guessing we are a similar age group.
Personally I wouldn't be too worried about age (unless I did an 18-30 holiday), but your weight sounds like an issue...
To you anyway.
Personally, I'd go for it, and not give a damn on anyone's opinion.... Enjoy your holiday regardless.
I'm sure you'll meet some good friends.

alot of the people that go to sandals resorts are a little older because sandals is so nice and definitely not cheap, so i think you guys will be perfect and have a wonderful time! sandals are beautiful resorts

DO IT!!

Let's face it, only people in their 20's are in that kind of shape anyway. I never give a second though to whipping my shirt off and getting a tan. I'm happily married, so I ain't showing off for anyone but my wife!

If nothing else, you can show those smug little 20 year olds what's coming if they're lucky - wedded bliss after 2 decades (way to go, by the by) and a 6-pack stomach that blossoms into a quarter keg!
