Is it true that one may drink alcohol in 'Bahrain'?

how idiotic...why would one have to prove they're NOT Muslim?

Does that mean that Muslims will not honour their religious laws when no one is looking?

So, in other words, it is normal and desirable for an Islamic nation to strictly police their citizens and visitors against vice, simply because if they don't, it is likely that their indigenous population would disregard their strict spiritual and cultural rules.

Is that about right?

you can drink alcohol in some islamic countrys, as long as you can prove that you are not muslim.

Having checked a number of travel sites yes you can, not sure if anywhere or just in your hotel.

Alcohol is widely distributed in Bahrain. You can buy alcohol in designated stores or you can opt to drink in bars and hotels. It has been recently banned although some bar owners refuse to comply.

Yes, sale of alcohol to Muslim is prohibited. You can buy alcohol for as long as you are not dressed obviously as a Muslim. Very rarely, they might ask questions to confirm whether the buyer is Muslim or not. And by logic, if you are a good Muslim, you wouldn't even think of buying and consuming alcohol.

yes, why not

Yes you can. Many Saudis drive to Bahrain to get some booz.

I have drunk loads of alcohol in Bahrain.

Yes you may, in hotels etc some have bar, nightclubs etc. Muslims drink alcohol aswell with a liquor license, although not during ramadam. As a resident hope this helps

Yes. They are not allowed to sell to Muslims (or rather Muslims are legally not allowed to drink). It's probably also a good idea to be discreet i.e. don't appear drunk when walking home.

yes you can i don't see any problem the gulf slowly is opening up and some countries has already reached the top

Thats what i heard
