Is shopping expensive in bahrain?

Is shopping expensive in bahrain?

Shopping is moderate in bahrain

It is depends the Income Grade (LIG,MIG, HIG) each level of people find quite affordable in their class, as live in bahrain

There are wide variety of shops which deals products on several price categories,

for example, asian's, european,, medetranians, finds their own products and liking in shopping in leading supermarkets and exclusive shops, so it is going on its own way

But this should be mentioned there is a price hike in almost all products and housing rent in bahrain say 10 to 20 %, which is not exempted due to recent trend in gulf ( i mean the extra ordinary projects and facilities available in gulf these 10 years span)

Wide variety and number of malls that bahrain has quite enough for nice shopping experience

Yes, the Gulf tends to be very expensive unless you are from there and it's your currency...for others, the exchange rates make things very expensive.

Bahrain & other Gulf countries can be expensive because the currencies are strong. But yet, when comparing it to Europe, Bahrain prices are cheaper for sure.

You will find that Bahrain prices are marked up vs. Dubai for example.
This is logical as virtually everything transits through UAE or Saudi before reaching the island. There are a few malls, by ascending price: Marina Mall - Bahrain Mall - Seef Mall - Al Aali Mall. There you will find most chains, but prices are higher than in the UAE, UK or US.

Electronics are very expensive and choice is really limited. Everybody talks about the souk, but quite frankly there is nothing interesting there, lots of fake and cheap stuff...

I dont think its expensive. BUT WHO GOES SHOPPING IN BAHRAIN?? You should come to kuwait.

bahrain is an expemsive place to live in and also to shop in.. this is only if you are a foriegner since pur currenecy is pretty strong.. but comparing to Europe, bahrain is cheaper

Bahrain and other countries around the gulf tend to be more expensive than surrounding areas. However, they are still cheaper than Europe or the US. However, different districts may have completely different price ranges.
