Is Bahrain safe for Americans to travel to?

I may have the opportunity to play professional men's volleyball in Bahrain. I am a little hesitant to pursue this option more because I don't know much about this country. Thanks!

Bahrain is a safe place for everybody including Americans. I Have many American friends who live here in Bahrain. They mainly live in Juffair because the American Base is located there. Bahraini people are very kind and treat all people with respect. Come to Bahrain and enjoy your time. For more info, e-mail me a question and I will get back to you ASAP. Welcome to Bahrain

Yes.

Yes. Bahrain is part of the United Arab Emirates. It is a very modern city with shopping malls that have a lot of American names. You can also find Mc Donalds, Wendys, Subway, etc. The native food is good but if you are skeptical you can always get a good meal in the restaurants of one of the chain hotels (Sheraton, Holiday Inn, Hilton). Gold is inexpensive there so if you go and there is someone special in your life, use this opportunity to buy this person a gift. The United States has a naval base there so it is not like you would be cut off from all Americans It is perfectly safe so I would go. Have a great time and experience something new!!!

Bahrain is safe especially for Americans ..... why?

bcz (( US forces include a naval component, organized as the Fifth Fleet under a Naval Forces Command headquartered in Bahrain, which regularly includes a battle carrier group and other naval assets ))

go to Juffair where the base is located ... its part of USA
so yea its saaaaaaaaaafe

regarding what snackfairy wrote about Bahrain i think it point toward the fact that he had never been in Bahrain, Bahrain is not a part of UAE and its not a city its a state (now kingdom!).
another thing there are many fast food restaurants in Bahrain but as far as i know Wendy's is not one of them.

ask Micheal Jackson!!! he's been there :)

absolutely safe. go man, go and enjoy the trip.
u will love the place.

it is safe than any other place in this world.
