Is there asny restriction by Bahrain visa authority , because of anmesty in Bahrain, in issuing visitor visa?

I am an Indian resident. I want to visit Bahrain for one month from 1st week of December 2007 to meet my friends. Heard Bahrain visa authority will not accept application for 1 month visa now, because of amnesty and related heavy rush in their office. Please answer. from where can I get authentic answer

The amnesty has nothing to do with the issuing of a visit visa. As a matter of fact, we received 6 visit visas yesterday.

What you are hearing is not true. Bahrain - although is trying to curb the illegals and overstayers, they are business as usual.

The Immigration is receiving visit visa applications from those qualified residents and there is no change in policy or let down in receiving applications. The only thing that change is probably the authentication and scrutiny of supporting documents for those residents who would like to apply a visit visa.
