I am from india, and will visit Basel, Switzerland in the mid of Feb. How is the weather there, is it too cold or moderate ? Do i need to get warm clothes, how is the food there, do you get Veg food there. Is the place expensive. Namaste. Why don't you check the weather on the internet. You can get up to date information. The weather, as you are talking that you will be going in Feb, should be cold. You should bring warm clothes. But the cold weather in Switzerland is quite pleasant unlike India. And yeah you can find vegetarian food very easily. You may even find Indian restaurants there. And yeah Switzerland like every Western European country is very expensive so be prepared for that. much much more expensive than you are used to in india, and much much colder. (buy a good coat and gloves) and don't worry about the food, you can find anything there, and the locals are always great. This time of the year it is winter in Switzerland, you better take warm cloths. Weather is very cold, it is very hard to get veg. food from It's pretty cold there, but there is no snow in the city, just rain (See website below to check the wheater for Basel). You need warm clothes, Jackets, good shoes, long trousers....! Welcome, the weater is fine. the wheather will be quite cold. It could be snowy, but most likely you'll have cloudy days, maybe some rain, and definitly a lot colder than india (somewhere around 0掳C) You'll need a warm coat, perhaps boots, long pants and I'd also recommend gloves, a scarf and a hat. Switzerland is very expensive in general, so be prepared to pay a lot for "nothing special". You can get vegetarian food, though it isn't that common (thohgh it's gaining popularity). Just don't go to the typical swiss restaurants because they'll be serviing a lot of meats and food with ham in it. Don't worry though, because I'm a vegetarian living in Switzerland and I'm not starving ! ;-) http://weather.yahoo.com/forecast/SZXX00... |
