What is the best guidebook to use when traveling in Europe? |
I know there are many different brands (Frommers, Lonely Planet, etc.). Which is the most informative and easy to use? Rick Steve's. He's from Seattle and he is on OPB with his own videos and shows as well as guide books. look up Rick Steve's.. The one in Eurotrip Frommer's Frommers Lonely Planet Babe! the lonely planet guides, they've got everything you need I found Rick Steves Europe very helpful and down to earth. It's available at Barnes and Noble. I prefer to use the Conde Nast Traveler Magazine for ideas, and really any travel book that you find at the book store, that is easy for YOU to read. I am planning a trip to Spain and Pairs and have found Rick Steve's and Lets Go both very informative. They both have good information on nice places to stay and dine. I have also used them to plan trips before and they seem to be the best out there. RICK STEVES IS GOOD COMMONERS BOOK. ITS SMALL AND WILL TRAVEL WELL the best is still Rick Stevens, I got his books right by my side..aways...he also has a very good forum on-line... Forget travel guides. You should always ask the locals for advice. I like the AAA Spital Guides because you can flip the pages back and hold your book in one hand...which is really helpful when you're lost and trying to find your way. They are also organized very nicely. I have one for Paris, London and NYC now. |
