Has anyone been to the Bier Festival in Munich? |
Did you enjoy it? What did you think of people there? Before I get some smart a*ses answering 'Bier' is the German spelling. I have been going to the Oktober Fest for 18 years now, and I am looking forward to my next visit! I always have a good time and have learned by experience which groups(and tents) to gravitate to for the most fun. The people are friendly(OK, liters of beer help) but in general people are nice. I can also sing along to 'Country Roads' *smile* Not sure about the comments of locals staying home? Maybe with bad weather? I was there on opening day 2 years ago and I met group after group(7 women, all in Heidi dresses, and sweet&cute as could be! Thanks to them inviting me agian I was able to get into a dry tent last year) all from M眉nchen and surrounding areas. I have also over the years met people from all over the World! I could write pages on this theme....So, YES I enjoy the Oktober Fest! ITS COOL BUT THE PPL THERE ARE ALL DRUNK LOL Are you talking about Oktoberfest? If so... I was told I had a good time.... Adolf Hitler went there once, He said it was crap! i am german and live close to munich, i have been there once but i didnt enjoy it! actually it was terrible...it was full of drunk and aggressive people! it was terrible... well i like to go out and have fun, but i cant be around people like that...but if you enjoy getting drunk and doing stupid things you will enjoy it lol well maybe everyone should go there by themsevles and see if they like it ;-) have fun if you go I have been there. If you like drinking beer, singing songs, and eating sausages with garlic then I recommend it. There was a lot of people there, but I was in a group of blokes who were intent on drinking so much that they ended up being sick in a brothel toilet. It was an eye opener I can tell you! I come from Munich, and we went there every year. Its great, but now with all the people you seldom see a true Bavarian they stay all at home now. It is lots of people from different country's ,its not so nice anymore. But for a Newcomer its great, except I know it different too. But enjoy it If you're young it is great...think Fort Lauderdale on Spring Break... Yes, I was at the Oktoberfest a few years ago. The people were great...nobody let me buy a beer all night... The women were beautiful in their traditional costumes and the Oom Pa Pa band rocked! yes i was there a few times,i was born near Munich, the people are nice. Yes, but remember this: although it's called the Oktoberfest, it takes place in September, so don't miss it. Despite all the above comments, the firework displays are superb. you mean octoberfest. yes it is a huge party, very fun. al ot of beer. book a hotel early, it will be expensive, if you even get a room |
