My German friend is graduating with his MBA in the U.S. Is there a traditional German graduation present? |
A "typically" German graduation gift. He is from Munich, if that helps. Typically it is money or valuable items like jewellery, but it is given only by close relatives. My father got a gold watch, my mother a golden pendant and a gold chain - and I, because I asked for it, money for travelling after graduation in the form of traveller's cheques. Now my brother is about to graduate and has asked for a motorbike. :-) well no not really, but if you think about it hes in the US to exprience US culture, so get him something that he would like. If there was a traditional german graduation gift he would have it already becuase he probably graduated gymnasium (high school) in germany. |
