Queens University Belfast? |
What can you tell me about the University? What's life like in the Campus? What's life like in Belfast? I wanna hear your experiences... Belfast is a great city, I don't know much about Queens other than it is located about 1 mile from Belfast City Centre and is rated very highly. There is a students union but alot of students tend to party in the pubs along the Malone Road near the main campus such as the Globe, The Bot and The Parlour i went there and absolutely hated queens and thought it was so unfriendly. a friend i have absolutely loved it though! the difference between queens and other unis is there is not as much of a student community. there is not a warm feeling of community or closeness there. people kinda stick to themselves and they go home every few minutes!! belfast is totally absent of students at the weekend as they all run off home so i was so lonely as i was not originally from the country and had no family. belfast can be very depressing. my time there was honestly the worst time of my life but i would recommend you get other opinions too. if you're not from northern ireland you will find it very hard to fit in-this is from my experience and another friend. rated the best university in the world and Belfast city is a great spot plenty of night life and the pubs are brilllllllllll near to queens you have the golden mile with plenty of night clubs check it out for yourself before you decide what university you want to go to. Belfast very good. Queens is filled with nobs tho. Middle class kids who can't hold their drink. If u are going there try to get a house in the Holy Land. If you end up having a horrible experience try going to Uni of Ulster at Coleraine or Uni of Ulster at Magee in Derry - both those Uni s have great student bodies who kno how to party and both have great community spirit. |
