Do you need a passport for a 1yr old child to go into belfast? |
does the father of the child need to know his child is being taken to belfast . the father is split from mom but no legal arrangements have been made A passport is required. of course you do You need a passport if you are flying. Otherwise, if travelling by boat, then no. It would be a matter of courtesy to tell the child's father where you have taken his child. It depends where you are taking the child from. If from the republic of ireland then I would have thought you would. From the uk, most if not all airlines require photo id when travelling within their own borders, so the best thing would be to check with your local passport office. The father has no legal need to know, though he could object if he had reason through the courts. No going to Belfast is the same as going to Wales. Scotland. Not from the UK, of which Northern Ireland is a part. It would, of course, be wise to advise the father that you are taking the child overseas. Not from the UK you dont. Just ID for you and baby. Dad doesnt have to know xx If you are already in the UK, a passport is not needed to travel to Belfast. However, it is courteous to tell the father that the child is being taken to Belfast. depends on where u are travelling from. If u are within the UK then the answer is no - anywhere else then u need a passport. If youre from the UK then no, but you might struggle with ID as the airlines are really strict what they take. As for notifying the father, no again If you are flying from outside the Uk or RoI then yes if from inside UK or ROI then photo ID is required, if you are coming by boat from England or Scotland then no |
