How far is Brussels National Airport ( BRU ) from Sablon in Brussels - Would a taxi be too expensive? |
I am flying to Brussels next Month to the Sablon area - but don't know how to get there from the airport.....any suggestions please? It's 12 kilometers away. Looks like it would be about 35 Euros. Take the train from Zaventem (Brussels National Airport) to Brussels central station and change trains to go to Brussels kapellekerk or chapelle. Take the train from the airport to Brussels Central station then just go on foot. It's not even a 10 min walk. May I suggest that on arrival in Brussels National you go to the lower level and take the SHUTTLE TRAIN to Brussels Central. On arrival in Brussels Central, which is a subterranean railroad station, you are at 5 minutes walking distance from the Grand Place and 10 minutes walking distance from the Sablon. Train fare is about 10% from what a taxi would cost you. Bon voyage. The trip takes about 30 minutes. |
