Is quality of life in belgium better than in france?

Is quality of life in belgium better than in france?

An answer that can go both ways and it depends what your intentions are with your life. I lived in both country's.

If you are still working in life I would say Belgium is the better country as the living arrangement along the big city's are better and safer compared to the big business areas in France. Belgium is also cheaper for living. Also health care is better and almost for free one visit to the doctor for the treatment of the flew would cost 22鈧?and you get 20,60鈧?back from the government the same with the medicins and if you are working for a large corporation they general have a company insurance that reimburse you even that small difference. This might look not much but count if you are married and have 2 young children medical cost can go up and then this comes in handy.

I would go back to France to live when I am retired, I like the south of France. you still have those small villages where time stould still where people enjoy life in the back yard or in a bistro . For this you need money off course that is why for me it will be only when I retire....
The south of France has a nice soft climate... Better then the rainy climate of Belgium.

Only after a Belgian beer ! and a waffle !

Yes from a personal point of view (particularly if your idea of France is Paris) and yes from a study point of view (Mercer yearly study, which show a few index point better for Belgium).

Please don't let me laugh, Belgium better then France?
You can believe me, Belgium has the worst health system.
And no you don't have the medicines almost free, I have to pay every month 40-60 Euro on top and that's only for the medicines.
We gonna emigrate this year, yes we are fed up of this corrupt country.

depends on which aspects you consider :
Belgium is cheaper, without a shadow of a doubt (I live in Namur, the walloon capital city, and the cost of life here is less than the half of what it would be in Paris)
Health care is quite efficient in Belgium, and not expensive.
We have great "green spaces" in all our main cities.
Most of all : people are more OPEN-MINDED in Belgium than in France, and that makes a HUGE difference !!!

i live in Belgium, and it is good living here. Most of us are used to a lot of luxury. In France, it is more the basic, i spend all my holidays there and my sister lives there. They live close to nature, and take and give. The way of living together is also more 'familiar', they depend more the one of the other and visa versa...

Belgium is better, more open and easy-going country. You feel comfortable and relaxed in this country. People in Belgium seem to be more sympathic than french.
PS. I stayed in both countries.
