What is a belgium biscuit?

my friend wants to know what it is... he thinks its something rude??

1.It can also be a hard porcelain paste also calls BISQUIT, a bit hard to put your teeth on that (lol).
2. A hard cookie
3. Soft sponge cake made with potato flower and a lot of egg white in the mix to make it light and totally covert with creme fraiche and fruit.

And that receipt that you saw on the first answer is NOT FOR BISCUIT BUT FOR SPECULOOS.

WE HAVE special cookies; de Stroopere, De Lackere, Lackmans, Antwerpse handjes and so much more....

it's a cookie:

BELGIUM BISCUITS (COOKIE)

4 oz. butter
3 oz. brown sugar
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. mixed spice
1 tsp. ground ginger
1 egg
8 oz. flour
1 tsp. baking powder

Cream butter and sugar and spices together. Add egg and beat. Mix in dry ingredients. Knead on floured board. Roll out thin, cut into rounds. Bake on greased trays 15-20 minutes at 350 degrees. Put together with raspberry jam and ice the top of each biscuit, and decorate with angelica and cherry or sprinkle red jelly crystals.

jstjen71 could be right and it sounds like a delicious cookie but frankly, I've never heard about a specific Belgian biscuit...
She is right to say that a biscuit is a cookie but I thought that that was a general known translation...
I'm from Belgium and we have Belgian waffles which are typically, but we don't have any special cookies...maybe abroad they call it that we, but here you won't find it in shops...

yum...this has to rate in my top 3 biscuits!!

Its 2 cinnimon biscuits with a rasperry filling, icing on the top with raspberry jelly crystals spinkled on the top!! mmmmmmm
Just had one the other day.

Never heard of it as being a special "Belgium Biscuit" - and I've got relatives there and visit often. Perhaps you mean a cookie - which is what Americans call a biscuit? What prompted the question?

its a biscuit made in belgium

it's just some kind of a cookie but I must admit it's not very tasty (and I'm Belgian) !

you need good teeth in order to take a bite at it !!!

its name comes from "bi" (twice) and "cuit" (baked) because it's baked twice

Pourquoi il pose sa question en flamand lui ? Moi j'y pige rien !

It is, as above, a cookie made up of two hard cookies joined together with raspberry jam and iced with pink icing.

It's commonly made in New Zealand, and I believe the "Belgium" has only to do with the fact that it's European in origin. It is, in fact, very very similar to a "butter sable", which is a French cookie. Also a little similar to a Lintzer cookie, although less sweet.
