Where is the best area to stay for New Years Eve celebrations in Berlin ? |
We want to travel to Berlin this year for New Years can anyone recommend the best areas for celebrating ? Outside right on the main drag - "Unter den Linden" street to Brandenburg Gate to Street of June 17th. In a bunker Safest place is in da Bunker! Berlin Daschund Bund, and Berliner Strasse (2 blocks from Brandenburg). Get a hotel in the Brandenburg gate area because thats where it will all happen for new years eve celebs>.>there may be other places but thats my choice While staying around the Brandenburger Tor is where the heart of the celebrations will be, this is also very expensive. A very very short distance away is Potsdammer Platz which has several reasonably priced chain hotels nearby (Sofitel, Mecure, etc). Potsdammer Platz is also very active on New Year's as well, of course, and you'll save bucks by staying there but not sacrifice being in walking distance to the action. HOME! Base yourself in the Kreuzberg district for the greatest buzz. checkout http://www.jbb7994.com I came back from Berlin yesterday. |
