Any nightlife activities near Generator Hostel, Berlin?

I've finally made my mind, I will stay at Generator Hostel in Berlin, It's 2 metro stations away from Alexanderplatz. Since I arrive at 7pm, I hope to fill my time with to the max with any nightlife possible in the area. Suggestions on where to eat? to enjoy a midnight stroll? to dance and party a little? (I heard public transport stop service by 12midnight, so please suggest something nearby, reachable by foot!)

First: public transport services don't stop at 12. Even in the week the S-Bahn (I think there's one station near generator) goes to one o'clock and even after this night busses ride (check www.bahn.de or www.bvg.de where you get the best route from A to B for every time). At the weekend it is no problem to get away at night because the metro and S-Bahn drives all night all 15 minutes!
There is not that much directly located at the generator hostel (of course there are many locations to eat and buy stuff), so you can go either to Alexanderplatz (it's a bit hard to orientate there! the clubs: Weekend, Bohannon, Kinzo), , Sch枚nhauser Allee (there's really much if you walk ten minutes to the south to eberswalder stra脽e, the Kulturbrauerei is very nice!) or Ostkreuz (also nice, the more alternative clubs Rosis and Lovelite are located there and also some bars in sonntagstra脽e).

There are a lot of restaurants round Alexanderplatz so I'm sure you will find something you like.... About going out - there are a lot of clubs round Berlin, check this website (http://www.berlin-pages.com/en/locations... there are descriptions of different clubs and city map so you can see where are they located and how to get there. I went to Knaack,H20,SO36 and a few others and had a great time! U and S bahn stop service at midnight, but there are buses that drive all night (if I remember right), if you don't know what bus to take just ask the driver for help. Hope this helps! Have fun during the stay!!!!!
