Suggest hostels near to Ostbahnhof train station in Berlin?

I arrive in Berlin somewhere around 5pm, after a night, I will take a night train the following day to Brussels. I wish to look for a good hostel around the area. I am actually in dillema now, because there are 3 places which I am debating over, wether I should stay at Mitte (close to the heart of Berlin), at Ku'damm (somewhere I must visit) or near to the train station (so I have time to shower up, get ready for the train ride). Any suggestions?

A really nice on is the "circus hostel" located at rosenthaler platz, it's located directly next to an underground station.
You need only 10 to 15 minutes to ostbahnhof, 15 to 20 minutes to kudamm, but you're very near to all the berlin attractions and located between the two centers of the nightlife!

Hi,

as long as you stay near to an underground station, it doesn't matter too much, where exactly you stay.

Kudamm is nice, but probably more expensive.

I'm not sure if you know where to find good and cheap hostels, in case you don't, here is a great website that I often use myself:

I have stayed at these places in all my trips to Berlin in the past. The prices are not too bad.

I would suggest staying in Mitte because it is busier. Ku'damm stuff is spread out and closes early plus the shops are very expensive around there. There is not much around Ostbahnhof.

Maybe try here too.
