How do I arrange trash pick up in Berlin for large items?

I need to get throw out a large desk, a few shelves and some other odds and ends. How do I arrange to throw these things out? How much will it cost? Thanks!

You can also rent a pick8-up truck and bring it to one of the BSR places yourself.

Before that, if it is not completely trash, check if you could sell it to a second-hand dealer, sell it through eBay or give it away to poorer people (through the "Geschenk" culumns in Zitty or Tip, and/or through Craigslist)

This call "Sperrmuell". You need to contact your local Garbage Company, they all having special section and phone numbers for Sperrmuell.
Look at the phone book or call the operator.

you just rent a small truck at robben & wientjes, the cheapest car rental in berlin. then you bring your stuff to one of the BSR places. Normally ordinary household things are free to drop there.
