When setting a table in Germany, do the fork go on the left of the plate, and the knife on the right? |
Does the knife edge go towards the plate, or away? Hi! There's actually a way of remembering this that we are taught in Germany: MesseR nach Rechts, GabeL nach Links. Knife on right, fork on left, spoon on right. Fork on the left and knife on the right. Yes, same everywhere I believe Fork left, knife right with the edge towards the plate, spoon right and dessert spoon on the top. Hi, I think I can help you I live in german and the knife goes on the right and the fork on the left and if your in a noble restaraunt the spoon is also on the left. |
