Hi,I want to know about important switzerland touriest spots. please let me know.? My favorite place in Switzerland was the village of Zermatt. It is the closest village to the Matterhorn. When I was there in the early 70's, gasoline powered vehicles were prohibited. Horse drawn carts and electric golf carts were the method of transportation. The only way to get there was by train. Very quaint, but expensive. if u wanna feel Switz as an out-of-this-world heaven, make sure you go to Interlaken area - city Lucerne (known as Luzern locally). It's the heart of Switz. Stay there, then make sure you take an early morning trip to the Jungfrau Joch mountains. You will never have experienced anything like this before, and guaranteed the effect will spell-bind you lifelong after. It's actually called "1/2 way to heaven" and really, it is... Take an Easy Jet flight to Basel. Stay a few days. It's worth it! Go to a FC Basel Soccer Game in Basel (www.fcb.ch). Before and/or after the game, mix up with locals, tourists and expats at the paddy reilly's irish pub. Land in Zurich, visit the Rhinfalls where the Rhine enters Switzerland. If you have time drive to Stein-am-Rhein, lovely village, then to to Lucerne take the Rigi-Bahn cog-wheel, boat on the lake. Then to Interlaken, to Lautebrunnen, explore the Trummelbak caverns and then rail to the Jungfrau. Then off to the french part, go to Gruyere where you can experience the lovely walled village and cheese factory. Then consider the Matterhorn, and the Italian part of Switzerland |
