What can I do/buy/see in The Swiss Riviera? |
Any basic words to say? Geneva, Montreux (known for THE jazz festival), Evian (in France) (most famous spa in Europe), Mont Blanc (highest summit in Europe).... lots and lots to see , you probably mean the area around Lake Geneva, aka Lac Leman. Nothing is cheap: look for local wine, local cheese, local handicrafts etc. on the other hand no-one will try to cheat you, same price for you, the locals and the Sultan of Brunei. The price is what it is... Switzerland is not cheap for shopping, so do not bet on any discounts. English is spoken almost everywhere: Swiss are precise, correct and friendly, so throw in an extra dose of merci (thank you), s麓il vous plait (please) and smiles... bienvenue en Suisse. |
