The bhopal gas tragedy is one of the most gruesome of environmental accidents that has ever accured. It is a case of a leak of poisonous Methyl-isocynide gas which killed thousands of civilians and also permanently disablebled generations of human race. the leak was from the factory of Union Carbide the owner of which went off the hook for the negligence shown due to US diplomacy. The unfortunate BHOPAL GAS TRAGEDY was happened in 02 Dec 1984 which claimed many lives and crippled lakhs of them. Till today government is planning to give more compensation for the victims as it was one of the most deadliest accident in Indian History.
Actually what happened was there were 3 large tanks of Methyl Iso Cyanate. Many pipes were running from and to the 3 huge tanks. Accidentally a dirty water entered in one of the pipes which had direct connection with the tanks. As the water got mixed with the dirty water, there was a huge explosion.

BGT has happened in the year 1984 and actually it happened in the night and the factory is unioin carbide factory it was using this poisonous substance for commercial purposes and it got leaked as it was night none of the residents near by observed or even noticed the leak but, most of them got influenced directly and indirectly. It is against the law to establish such an industry close to residential area. Later even for few decades it polluted the water bodies and living creatures around that place.
