Is there any free parking near to York Place, Brighton?

York Place is opposite St. Peters church in Brighton, we are thinking of buying a property there but the parking is so terrible, we've checked the waiting list for permits and it's at least a 4 month wait.
If there is any free parking is it difficult to find a space?

Thanks in advance

Free parking near St Pete's? Not that I know of. If there is, it will only be for a couple of hours at a time. If you want to move to that area you should seriously think about getting rid of the car. Or dig up your front garden, if you have one, and turn it into a parking space.

No, no free parking there.
Your best bet is to park in Saltdean, about 4 or 5 miles away and buy yourself a scooter to ferry yourself back and forth.

The other alternative of course, is if you will be working in Brighton, get rid of the car and use public transport. Usually works out cheaper.

Sell your car & use public transport. Or wait for a permit (expensive).

a lot of people living in centre of brighton dont have cars due to this problem, if u want to keep the car i would suggest moving slightly outside the town and using public transport to get to work if its in town. as far as i know theres no free parking in this area.

Hey, there is free parking in Newhaven then a boat to France.
Much better properties in Dieppe and Le Havre, St. Malo, Caen, Cherbourg and free childcare for your kids.
Don;t be stuck in the UK !
Forget parking, mortgages, it's a waste of time !
A French mortgage is 4% a swiss one 3.5% and the house will
be half price or less.
Also you will be paid more, 50 to 100 percent more.
And pay less tax, 50 to 150 % less tax.
And the people are nice !
Welcome !
