Cabo San Lucas or Cancun??

Me and my boyfriend are planning on going to one of these places for a 2 night 3 day vacation. We have a budget we want to spend less than 1K... anyone please tell me pros and cons and let me know of some nice reasonable hotels to stay at .

Hola. I live here in Cabo so of course I'm going to say visit Cabo....but to tell you the truth, Cabo and Cancun are carbon copies of each other. They are resort towns and have exactly the same pros and cons. The most obvious are Cancun's oceans and beaches are nicer and they have mayan ruins to visit, and Cabo is more about partying and extreme activities, the beaches are nice but the ocean can be colder and rough to swim in some spots. Cabo is slightly more expensive, but it also matters from which state you are coming from in the USA. Its going to be cheaper if you are from California and coming to Cabo, than say New York.

Which ever resort you pick, you will have a great vacation!

Can't speak for Cabo personally, but I have some friends who went there and really enjoyed it. I didn't like Cancun, but I'm not into partying and dancing all night -- I'd rather spend my days lounging on the beach...At any rate, based on my limited experience and second-hand information, I'd say take Cabo over Cancun.

The flight to Cancun is about 5 hours so for such a short trip, i would recommend Cabo. Cancun is great for a minimum of 4 nights in my opinion.
